Amazon.com



Amazon.com is trying to boost their DVD sales, by upgrading their sales with a new system called, 'Disc Plus On Demand'. Now when costumers purchase a DVD they now have the option to instantly watch the film via Amazon.com's on demand service for your mac or PC, or they can have it sent to their tivo. The new upgrade only applies to a small portion of their DVD collection, only 300 of their 330,000 DVDs are available for the upgrade. Specialists are still unsure about the results of the upgrade, but if there is a positive result you can expect this to become a standard for all DVD purchases.

Black Friday



This year, there were less injuries and no death's. But the increase in sales went up according to all major retailers. The sales only increased a little over 3% but they reached up to 3.2 billion dollars. Analysts say that it's because of the recession that caused this increase as families focused on these door busting deal to save money.

The World's First Commercial Space Ship.



Titled the 'Virgin Galactic', is the world's first commercial spaceship. Being lifted up to 65 miles above the earth, passengers will be able to experience up to 5 minutes of a zero gravity experience, for the inexpensive price of $200,000. The space ship is said to unveiled on 8:30 PM in the Mohave Desert.

Crunch Pad


Tech crunches Michael Arrington has backed out of production on his ambitious $200 tab, the 'Crunch Pad', still did not production. Now being released and renamed as JooJoo, the device has a 12.1 touch screen and boosts directly to a web browser using internet access via wifi. Since Arrington backed out of the production, his dream of having an affordable touch pad is no more. The JooJoo is now going to on sale for $500.

Facebook


Facebook is now updating their privacy features, now allowing users will have more control over their privacy settings. The changes were announced in an open letter to all facebook users from CEO Mark Zukerburg. The letter said that users will now be able to privatize their profile on a post by post basis, so you don't have to share information with anyone that you don't want to.

New laws in the UK


The UK has just announced that users frequently caught illegally downloading copyrighted materials (music, t.v. shows, movies, etc.) will be forced to pay a fine of 50,000 pounds, which is equivalent to $80,000 US currency. The bill also includes a 3 strike rule if the user continues downloading material they could have their complete household internet access suspended.
